Background talking in different language

I have a problem. Game is in english. Audio is in english. The people talking in the background you constantly hear is in german for whatever reason. Anyone knows how to fix it?

Same here. I am in germany and i play the game in english with english voice settings. what you hear in the background is in german. Kinda annoys me

I'm from Germany as well, I've set both Audio and Interface language to English, but the warning screen at the start and background audio is German anyway. I thought that in case of the background audio, this might be a feature until I found this thread. So it's definitely a bug not a feature. And yes, I prefer playing all my games in English, so it's very annoying.

I found a temporary fix: just set the location and locale settings in Windows to "English (US)".

Obviously the game uses whatever language your location/locale is set in Windows. My Windows is also an English edition, but that probably doesn't matter. Would be good if this could be addressed with the next patch.

If I set the audio language to English, I expect the audio to be in English. I hope this gets fixed. I don't want to change my entire system settings around. I had to try like 3 or 4 different region settings until I finally found the right one (Windows 10, setting the Control Panel > Clock and Region > Region > Format setting to English worked for me).

Playing with English interface and German audio, the people whispering in the background are murmuring in French, it threw me for a loop, this issue was never addressed.

The hiss incantation is always spoken in your system or steam UI language(I don't know exactly which one, but one of those). Summing it up is not a bug, it's completely intentional and probably to ensure everyone hears it in their native language.
