Framedrops/Stuttering when opening the map.
The game is very stable, locked at 60, dropping a frame here and there due to pop-in/loading I guess, but, when I open the inventory to read stuff or do anything and close it, the game drops to 45-50fps everytime I open/close the map.

When I pause/unpause the game, the issue is gone, I can spam open/close map and the game never drops below 60fps. But it happens again when I open/close the inventory.

Idk what the hell is going on. Tried everything I could think of, or find online. Driver reinstalled. Installed on an SSD. The issue persists, regardless of the graphics settings. I'm really confused here.

Anyone experiencing similar issue ? Did you find a way to fix it ?

It does this to me too. I'm playing on High settings. The game runs perfect. Even with hoards of enemies on screen, but tabbing in and out of the inventory menus gives me a quick hit in FPS. No more than a couple seconds, but its definitely noticeable.

Could it be related to steam overlay, by any chance? try disabling it just to see what happens. Maybe it's the ingame Vsync? try forcing it via Nvidia control panel/AMD's software. Just an idea.:lunar2019piginablanket:

nah, I've had steam overlay disabled since forever, and tried all vsync options. I guess this game and steam just don't cooperate on my pc for some reason.

I've noticed this, too. The issue is caused by clicking the mouse in the ingame menus. Selecting missions, etc. via keyboard will prevent the issue from occuring. Reloading the savegame or simply switching between Borderless/Fullscreen temporarily fixes the issue until the mouse is used to click on a menu item again.

Just tested it, and it is indeed my issue. What the hell happened I wonder. Do you happen to know if it happens on egs version as well ?

The EGS version may have this issue, too. Searching the game's subreddit, I found this thread. I've send in a bug report in hope that this will be fixed in a future patch, but I won't hold my breath. The game's out for over a year now, after all.

Turns out you don't even have to switch display modes. Just pressing ESC to enter the ingame main menu and returning to the game is enough to temporarily fix the issue.

Yeah I figured out the pause menu "fix" quickly. Here's hoping the game will be supported a bit more, this "ultimate" edition just released.
