C) Windows 10 version 2004, I think thats the latest.
D) Desktop
E) Two monitors, i'll try with only one now.
Nothing wrong with spit-balling...... But when I can run Death Stranding(Released on PC July 14th 2020.) with DLSS, Ray Tracing AND HDR in 4k @ 60fps. Control was released on not only Windows but Xbox one and Playstation 4. Remedy had a year worth of play-testing and patching to release a polished version for steam but failed. Sorry there is no excuse really for the crashing, stuttering and locking up.
Not yet, I've never done anything like that and I dont want to screw anything, I'll try it as a last resort as long as I can play for like an hour before a crash I'm ""happy"".
Change drivers to older ones. It is not a problem to download archived versions of drivers from Nvidia. Every time I sit down to play Control, (at long intervals) they get messages with the text that the device was turned off and each time it helps to downgrade the driver version. I found a lot of information about it.
I've tried updating drivers from 497.x to whatever the latest was recently. Something around 511 (not the latest that came out 4/26 though). Anyway, crashed just as much.
Tried DX11 (instead of DX12) still crashed. Tried turning everything down, turning off Ray Tracing, still crashed.
Then, without changing anything, launched the game one night a few days later, played 2 hours with no crash.
It's just completely random. Haven't played in days now, though. Would probably still crash.
If i find a solution 'll definetly write down here
