To me I can play without texture problems but as soon as I go to a new area its like the game does not load the textures properly.
I then reload the game and proceed. It's working so far.
I have a 8700 with a rtx 2080.
I also found, with dlss on, if I hit the pause menu, that sometimes will cause the unloaded textures to pop in. Every time I go into pause I get a little load icon in the bottom right. If I wait a moment for that to finish, then pop back out of pause this will often fix a texture on screen not having loaded.
Again, I don't know if that has something to do with dlss also being on or not. Previously, when I didn't use any dlss I'd have to go and fully change some graphic setting and it would occasionally fix it for a moment. But then as I moved areas the problem would quickly come back. I can only guess that something about dlss being on and the constant adjustments it must be doing somehow manages to unstick things that get stuck for some reason.
Overall, I can only guess that it's some deep architectural problem with their engine. It's very odd they haven't fixed it with the game having been out so long. It's very very apparent when it happens and given the responses in this thread it is also a very common problem.
Going into the settings, changing quality and going back forces it to re-load, but it's a bit annoying to have to do this every once in a while.
You couldn't figure out how to install the mod that fixes the issue?
Bought the game during the last sale, playing it just fine. Great game. /shrug
Probably a different build of the game so even if the data folder was there, it wouldn't work.
