Did they fix the texture issues?
I previously bought this on the EGS and subsequently refunded it due to blurry textures / textures not loading properly on a 2060 in dx12. Has this issue now been fixed and should I pick up this version?

I thought it was on my end but I see more people have this issue.
To me I can play without texture problems but as soon as I go to a new area its like the game does not load the textures properly.
I then reload the game and proceed. It's working so far.
I have a 8700 with a rtx 2080.

For me, taking down the texture quality didn't seem to make much of a difference. I would still get low res textures all the time. The only thing that seems to have ended up helping some is turning on dlss. I hate that turning it on downrezes the rendering below my screen resolution, but that makes the texture issue mostly bearable. I still end up running into textures that never load, but overall they do seem to load more consistently.

I also found, with dlss on, if I hit the pause menu, that sometimes will cause the unloaded textures to pop in. Every time I go into pause I get a little load icon in the bottom right. If I wait a moment for that to finish, then pop back out of pause this will often fix a texture on screen not having loaded.

Again, I don't know if that has something to do with dlss also being on or not. Previously, when I didn't use any dlss I'd have to go and fully change some graphic setting and it would occasionally fix it for a moment. But then as I moved areas the problem would quickly come back. I can only guess that something about dlss being on and the constant adjustments it must be doing somehow manages to unstick things that get stuck for some reason.

Overall, I can only guess that it's some deep architectural problem with their engine. It's very odd they haven't fixed it with the game having been out so long. It's very very apparent when it happens and given the responses in this thread it is also a very common problem.

For me, sometimes it loads the textures properly, and sometimes not.

Going into the settings, changing quality and going back forces it to re-load, but it's a bit annoying to have to do this every once in a while.

No not really... I have this on M.2 drive & a 2080 I still see texture pop in on an overkill PC... It fixes itself fast, but you can see dirty low res textures time to time load in slower...

2021 and I can confirm that this issue still exists. I tried everything people suggested on the internet until I had only one option left. That was to uninstall the game and move on! Such a shame really, as the game itself was intriguing but the texture issue just made it unplayable.

You couldn't figure out how to install the mod that fixes the issue?

Agreed, bought the Ultimate version for $15, applied the texture patch and it's running great (RTX 3060 ti) About 45 hours in, near the end now... Fantastic game. Really fun.

So, the tweakables.xml mod would be great if it weren't for the fact that the latest ver. of the game (only ver. I can play) didn't have it removed from the data directory... In fact, I've browsed all folders, it doesn't seem to exist (not a hidden file either). Why doesn't 505games just implement the increased texture pool limit in an official patch? LOL it's like they personally want muddy textures HAHA "You fix? We remove file! NO FIX!"

Judging by your lack of mouse cursor, I'm guessing you're on the epic version being given out free.

Probably a different build of the game so even if the data folder was there, it wouldn't work.

Nope, on GP, but it appears several versions have seen this fate... Certain mods (like textures, highlighted objects, etc.) require editing tweakables and several newer posts confirm it's missing in current versions of the game. Could be select versions, but the EG, GP, Steam, GOG all had the file before according to others who moded the game successfully months ago.
