Multi-Launch upgrade worth it?

Brutally so, yes. If you have only one target, all three of your projectiles will head towards it - very nice for bosses or other tough foes - and if you have multiple targets, you will automatically aim at up to three at once - crowd control has rarely been easier.

Multi-Launch is good for higher level enemies, shield or not, damages them a lot. If they're weaker, you can get 3 kills at a time. easy peasy.

If your build is already focused on upgrading Launch then there's no reason not to get it.
With fully upped Energy and Launch the game becomes too easy tho.

It also unlocks energy regeneration when holding the objects. This way you can dash as much as you want while holding an object - it makes the object-related sidequests much easier.
Foundation TV quest, Expedition furnace island - they play much easier.

Definitely. Honestly i used nothing but max launch with multi for any fights in the second half of the game.
The gun is basically just a secondary weapon at that point.
