This game is ugly

Low res textures everywhere, everything is shiny and glossy, everything is blurry, poor animations. I do not understand why people are praising this games visuals? Also it performs like crap even on very high end PC hardware.

Just like Quantum Break sometimes it looks great, but most of the time it doesn't. It just the game engine they are using and how it looks.

The only thing that looks awesome is the main characters face. But then you see her derpy hair that looks like cardboard.

I dont mind the game textures but the room title texts are a bit distracting in fights.

it lookd bad even on max settings 1440p? when quantum break released i had 21'' 1080p and yes it look very bad maxed but now with my 24'' 1440p will it also look bad maxed 1440p?

I play at 1440p with all on max (except Volumetric lighting) and no ray tracing and game looks like total crap, like a last gen title. Maybe ray tracing helps a lot?

I just got over finishing Metro Exodus which kills this graphically. Also Horizon Zero Dawn and Red Dead 2 kill this games visuals.

I really like the use of the "kill" word here. Perfectly appropriate. But I'm not trying to involve your ego in this. So could you please give your opinion instead of assuming that something you like is superior than something you don't like ?

My opinion : I think that Metro Exodus and for exemple Horizon Zero Dawn look better than Control. But I actually like the Control art design and the effects when rooms transforms.

I'm playing on max settings (without RTX) and it doesn't look good at all. Blurry, weird aliasing, robotic facial animations, grainy/shimmery textures, blown out light sources.

yes played metro exodus on ultra 1440p looks like a movie. quantm break also looked very bad but at that time i had 1080p 2'1'' monitor

Yeah no s**t about the textures.As most modern AAA games today.

About the shiny part

Ever seen the jacket shining all over the place and lighting up like a christmas tree?Totally fake.

The blurry part

Have you noticed that the game uses DoF in cutscenes and that is something you CANNOT turn off.Also even when not in a cutscene and actual gameplay, it's still there when you turn around the camera.

And last the animations.Only parkour has nice animations.

You must be playing on a potato computer then? Water cooled 1080 Ti + 3570K @ 5.0 Ghz here and I get 90~95 FPS constantly everywhere in this game on max settings (motion blur disabled) @ 1080p. I have a 120hz monitor and aim for more.. I might look in to see if this game supports SLI later.
