The Hiss language tied to my OS's language.

Any known fix for it?. My OS is in spanish and I like to play my games on full english because translations are always bad, of course switching my OS to english works but it's not ideal.

I have about a third of the game behind me I think. If the story evolves in the direction that I suspect, then that is intentional. A really nice touch imo.

Oh, I felt it was unnimersive and really bothered me, but I'll keep pushing through the game then.

Why would that be intentional? Unless you are talking about some breaking the 4th wall nonsense.

There's nothing nice about tying any language options to OS instead of letting the player choose.

Yeah, I think it's a bug, since the initial screen is also in spanish for me and the lasted patch haven't fix anything. I doubt devs read these forums through.

People have spotted wild on these forums. It's not like they have any better forums to use outside of social media.

So after more digging I've found that is actually tied to my regional settings in Win10. Switching my region is an easy fix but still not ideal.

Did someone ever find out how to change the background language without adjusting the region language? Why does the game have language options if it just ignores them?

I even sent a ticket to the devs but they never patched it it seems.

Did you set your Steam Client to english? I´m not playing in my native language as well because I prefer english and setting all the gaming clients language to english works for me with 99 % of the games.

One game (demo), I forgot which one, forced me to use the "set launch options" of the general properties to use the english language. I'm not 100 % sure anymore what it was but afair I had to use -en in the launch options. Maybe Control has some command like that too.

Yeah but that was not actually the problem, switching languages works great in-game, dialogues and texts change fine. The problem is that the ambient voices you hear in Hiss infected rooms and corridors will still be tied to your OS language no matter what, it breaks immersion for me.

I dont have that problem since I didnt even recognize them to say something. It is all just noise to my ears.

Oh it's some sort of chanting and I can hear it pretty well, it's probably a super easy fix in the source code but devs don't bother to fix it.
