While sprinkling button prompts all over the game would be the modern thing to do and this game is severely lacking them even when you play with a controller, doing that would make this a remaster rather than a port as it would significantly change the visual experience beyond just a new format and faster frame rate.
Not to mention getting that right and not intrusive to the players that don't need it is a pretty tough job for a competent designer. The game was intentionally not redesigned.
I hope you can manage with the quote and config tool up there :)
edit: Oh and to answer the question directly: Y by default is the ever important Q key.
this is why i miss physical manuals for things like this, where you can easily refrence the controls on the side until it becomes 2nd nature; especially for a game like this with a very unique control scheme
its a learning experience although story wise they don't tell you much either, i've just been piecing stuff together

then i started trying km&m again after controller wasn't working for crit hits and with that F11 thing i believe i resolved the majority of my controller issues
i lot of this could've been resolved in-game or with a digital manual which as far as im aware isn't a feature of steam games contrary to nintendo who despite no longer making print manuals has them digitally in all their games and sometimes they're resourceful
im pretty certain the GC release of this game also came with a manual and that the majority of people who got into the game refrenced sasid manual until they had a solid handle on the controls, i just wish i had the same experience learning the controls cause the controls tutorial tells you so little outside basic combat and moving on the rail system
But you're right. It has a lot of details for controls and mechanics.
Someone shared straight up on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdYvoBXkaXc
zeikar somewhat made a manual, maybe i'd make one myself if i didn't ♥♥♥♥ with the key bindings from deafult, a guide that simple says press F11 would be nice for km&m users although it can also be used for controller
