Pretty bad port so far
The game works great but:

- You can't choose the resolution
- No subtitles during cutscenes
- The deadzone on xbox 360 controllers is too low
- No keyboard and mouse button prompts
- Aim sensitivity with the mouse is too low
- No achievements
- No trading cards
- No steam cloud

What was advertised? If you're saying something was advertised as being in the game and wasn't, where is your proof?
Before the game went live a majority of these things we're arguing about were in the sidebar for the game. Steam achievements, controller support, etc. Being able to change the damn resolution is something you can do in Dolphin ffs. It just screams NISA, aka, incompetence.

But I explicitly said that I AM hearing impaired elsewhere. I a massive Killer 7 fan and was looking forward to playing the game with subtitles. With the original I had to print out the original script from gamefaqs to readnover scenes I didn’t understand and saying that I need to do that again for a re-release which should be ADDING FEATURES is preposterous.
Oh, sorry I missed that.

I don't recall seeing achievements on the store page, if you have a screencap where it said it previously I'd be more inclined to believe you. As far as controller support, mine works just fine.

They had to step down to partial controller support due to the configuration tool.

I wouldn't consider old store page settings advertisement ...

You want to change your (borderless window) resolution, really? Why? Can't your computer handle this game @ native resolution, or do you want to play at higher resolutions while it''s hurting your eyes when using the desktop...?

Anyway sounds like you're complaining for no reason, or at least your reason isn't very clear. Give us developers something specific to work on and we might give it to you. Thus far this thread pretty much triggers my "ignore and move on" mode (doesn't happen very often, so job well done /s)

honest question though and let me inform you now that the resolution stuff does not bother me as I play at native 1080p and don't need to change. Anyways, would it be very difficult to implement fullscreen or exclusive fullscreen and a resolution change option for whatever reason someone had to go above or below their recommended/native resolution? Serious question though and I don't really care about the "issue" just curious.

Downsampling is definitely usually a performance feature to get things running on low end notebooks and such. Hardware that may have high resolution but no power to back up 3D grahpics at that size for example.

Or having a 4K screen plugged into a PC that can't run games at this resolution.

These things.

I don't understand what exactly you're complaining about....the game feels so great and looks awesome. I play with my xbox one controller and it's been nothing but awesome so far.

I am personally ok with the lack of subtitles, but I would propose that even native english speakers who are not earing impaired would benefit from having them; due to the very oblique nature of the game's narrative, mishearing a word can actually make a whole lot of difference, not to mention certain scenes feature characters with thick accents or distorted voices (I'm thinking specifically of the Mithra cameo in Alter Ego). Other times sound effects partially cover up the voices (I'm thinking one of the final Ulmeyda cutscenes in Cloudman).
I'm sure someone will eventually mod them into the game and the original release did not have them either, but I still feel it would have been a noteworthy addition
I have more of an issue with the way cutscenes are framed in 16:9, but considering the game gives you the option of playing at the original 4:3 framing it's not that big an issue either I guess

Weird port.

At some point, RUMBLE stopped working.

Reloading in third person view is 30fps for some reason, looks awful.

Some of the fonts (Chapter screens, etc) are still in Gamecube resolution, ugh.

I speak italian, but can read english really well. Don't having the english subtitles is a lazy move. There wasn't in the original title, but i don't see why don't add them now.

Reloading had to be done that way, see the News section of the community for the game announcement.

Could you share some details on that?

I want them too. This simply never got on the to do list.

About the no English subtitles...
Is it just like the original PS2/Gamecube port (where only the Remnant Psyches had them) or is it excised entirely? Because it's already hard enough to hear/know what those ghosts are talking about with all that added distortion as it is...

It's exactly like the GameCube and PS2 version where the distorted voices are subtitled, but the non-distorted ones are not subtitled.

I'm enjoying the port so far, it's delivered what I wanted; despite not having subtitles.
