Do decorations matter ?
Hey. Do plants, posters, clocks and so on matter for patients? Do patients feel better and give better reviews or anything?

Yes. All decor contributes to the Nice Environment modifier, which raises patient & staff prestige. If patients interact with the posters, they'll fend of the Bored modifier.

Despite all the hours I have at this game, I didn't even know that.

Thank a lot !

You can check on these modifiers in the top right of the patient card. Mouse over the thumb up icon to see what modifiers are present for satisfaction.

Having good patient satisfaction contributes towards department prestige, along with staff satisfaction (which is also displayed by mousing over the same part of their staff card) and having no recent deaths. Good prestige is key for insurance objectives and obtaining the best payouts and patient numbers.

It's also worth checking the patients discomfort modifiers, by mousing over the eye with a tear icon just above the satisfaction thumb. Discomfort can heavily reduce patient satisfaction.

Thank you. I kinda suspected this but haven't gotten into details. I don't mind putting a plant or two somewhere, it's patients rooms that is giving me a hard time. The extra stuff takes so much space but ok =) My first hospital is a mess anyway and I have to start over.
Cheers
