How do you place a helicopter on the top floor

I can't seem to place a helicopter on the top floor, what am I missing?

I have built my hospital to the maximum permitted 12 floors, with the top floor being lifts, study area and autopsy. The remaining areas I was planning to have as a roof terrace and also a helipad, however I get the error stating that I cannot place a helicopter under an existing roof.

Any ideas how I resolve it? Otherwise I/we are stuck with being unable to have a helipad on the top floor, which would be frustrating!

Hi, you can use the dynamite tool to mark an area as 'the outside' - you'll probably need to use it on a section of both the last floor and the roof above.

[EDIT]: Only needed on the last floor, the roof above gets deleted automatically when using the dynamite.

Hi, try to remove the foundation beneath the place reserved for the helipad. If you remove the foundation only grey roof material should remain (upon which grass or other outdoor surfaces can be placed). You should be able to place the heliport on such a surface.
