Future player (Mac M1, concerns, feedback)
Hello Project Hospital community.

I came across this game a few days ago through YT, and it looked interesting. But I have some concerns. The main one is that I have M1 Mac 2020 model, which as many of you might know, isn't a powerhouse. Is anyone in the same situation? Does it run well? Second concern is about the hospital you build. Can you focus on a clinic, something smaller, or does the game force you to max it out and build several floors. I was thinking a local, small town clinic / hospital that serves a few dozen people a day. No serious injuries or problems. I guess that adds another concern. Will the game force you to include more advanced departments or can you just stop once you feel comfortable.

Depending on the scenario you choose to play you can focus on certain departments such as Orthopedy and keep your clinic relatively small. In that case the game should run fine although I can't make any guarantees (I'm not an employee of Oxymoron Games, just a fellow player).

The size of the building wasn't a performance concern, more like a want to keep it small. Big is just too much chaos. I'd rather focus on something small and more meaningful. I appreciate the help mate. Any feedback is good feedback.

Can you deal with like a cold, flu, similar things like that? You know, more mundane problems.

The game will not be very demanding of your hardware overall (graphics are not super high end as you can see from the screenshots).

That's part of the fascination with this game. Someone comes into the emergency clinic with a fever and breathing issues. You think it might be something serious like Rotavirus but a few examinations later you realize it's just someone hamming it up with a common cold.

Another reason I love this game.

Sounds promising. I will invest in the game on wednesday and see how it performs. But it seems up my alley. I do wonder, this game could work really well as a prison sim.

It did end up working with some tweaks to the graphical settings. I'd pick up a cooling plate with fans or something though since it gets quite hot. I didn't end up playing more than some testing. I'm now back on Windows and will pick it up again probably.
