Unplayable without 2x or 3x money mods
Am I the only one who finds the game completely unplayable (not like hard, just boring and unplayable) without 2x or 3x (or both) money mods active? At some point, once I got a good grip of game mechanics and got the idea of actually planning out my hospital I hit the wall of having to fast-forwarding 10, or 20, or 30 days just to build a small chunk of a new ward. Or fast-forwarding 10 days to save up enough money to be able to hire a new employee for night shift (revealing hidden perks, finding new candidates etc). So instead I got the mods and now it makes so much more sense. I can focus on actually playing the game instead of running it in a separate window and only getting back to dismiss popups / handling very rare situations that need my input.

In my honest opinion the income multiplier should 1) be a part of the game, 2) be at at least 2x (of the current value) by default.

I had the same problem, I was only making 1 or 2K a day, but once I started over I was able to have 10K a day.

Here is what I changed in my gameplay:
- Give every corridor a breakroom, toilet and janitor.
- Be VERY picky with your staff, they can kill your prestige. Only expand your hospital once you have the perfect match. If the staff is complaning look for the reason, if you can't find it or its just not logical FIRE them and look for a better suit.

The thing is, yes, I know pretty much everything about this game at this point. Having 100% patients taken care of (most of the time), planning my hospital very thoroughly, having pharmacy, janitors, only good bosses, zero negative traits for any staff. Basically having 100% prestige almost every day (sometimes like 90%). And still if I wanted to play with 1x income multipler I'd have to fast-forward 30? 50? days to build a new ward with hospitalization. And the fast-forward is way to slow to just accept it.

I am not sure about this. I make tons of money from the beginning and when I am building up funds for the next ward, I usually also invest into staff, both for hiring and for their training, here also both, training on the job and theory courses. Time flies by really quickly. Also trying to optimize everything and therefor just watching the business of the hospital makes time pass fast.

I also have some more insurrance companies, some of them just give five more patients, once you reach the previous goal of X-5 patients. So that also pushes my income.
Just some thoughts and ideas that might help overcome that phase of boredom. But sure, if multiplier helps you climb the ladder faster, it is also a good choice. You sure could mod the rewards for the inurrances or even mod your own insurrance company to match your needs.

There is a XML file called tweakables in the game that lets you change rewards for insurance companies and amount of patients they send, have a look at it.

Heyho,

money is plentyful in Project Hospital, if you act as a manager and keep your daily saldo positive. For example it is perfectly possible to expand your hospital without ever having a daily negative balance or a loan. It takes a bit of time, but is much more rewarding because you have to think about what you do.

Just take your time and be sensible with hiring ( 1-star and 2-star staff should be the bulk of your workforce).

I agree, I'm almost making 30/40k every day with some days lower around 10k. I hire most of the time 2 or 3 stars as they are more efficiënt which in some cases is cheaper than 1 star employees.

Yes - usually it is better to have two mediocre doctors for the same price as one really good doctor. And certain tasks only need one-star employees ... my 'patient transport nurses' all have a one-star qualification.

No.

There is incredible money to be made from accomplishing goals.

I think it's fine. But I guess I'm okay with just starting with general offices only and then once I have some money I'll start doing hospitalization, one department at a time. I won't even advance forward until whatever insurance goal it is to have like 50+ days of not having a patient walk out.

It's easy to tweak the tweakable files, but for money all I do are gift shops and autopsy, IIRC, they don't seem worth it without a bit more revenue.

Sounds like the OP doesnt have patience to play the regular way. Sounds like they expect $1M after one department is opened.

To the OP: I am sure there is a file within the game that gives you the starting amount of $. Edit that file and make it 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000.00. Will that be enough for you?

Well, I think we can accomodate many ways of playing Project Hospital. There are those of us who think it is to easy to make money and those who think it should be easier to make money. Both views are fair.
It is easier to increase the difficulty than it is to decrease it. For example, I only build things as long as there is a positive saldo at the end of the day (which makes for a slow start), taking loans is strictly forbidden, I choose the insurance companies with the lower payout if possible, I build 'unneccessary' stuff like locker rooms/empty offices for administration/storage rooms/etc,
But if someone wants an easier approach to Project Hospital - go ahead! It is nothing that we should frown upon. PH is one of the games that has no need to 'be beaten'. :)

Hi there,if you create your own doc and get fast learning perk with loyal perk each worker will cost 1/3 less sometime even more which will save your a lot of money and let you use more staff as well.

When you start your hospital, create a training room as well.Create a couple of doc at the start like 1 or 2 to actualy work and 1 in reserve to train it.Fast forward and complet insurance objective to get more money.ONLY build what you need to complet objectif until your hospital can handle 75+ patients. As you get more patients create more doc and alway keep 1 or 2 in reserve to train them and do a rotation. The first 2 skills at the top are the most important for your doctor at urgency at the start. The one at the left speed up everything your doctor do on patient and diagnostic skill is how easy your doctor will find what going on with the patients.Do all this slowly and train your doctor as you growth.Other stuff worth training as well when you still start opening departement.I alway select the pig food trait as the negative one because when you train your staff they eventualy loose it during the process.

Thing to not do if you go full ai is to open all dept at once or get ambulance before you are ready to open a dept with surgery.Ambulance will bring patients that need surgery even if you do not have a surgery team which in return will make you loose a lot of money.

1.Open urgency and train your staff based on number of patients you got

2.Build up what you need in term of radiologie and lab and train lab people as well.Leave room for expantion around these dept.

3.Open your first dept i recommand orth. Its the most easy to handle at the start.Train your doctor and once done train more of them for your surgery team. You should be able to have all theses doc even if you dont use them yet.You can park them where they going to work until the team is full and your ready to start surgery.Get the nurse you need to run surgery and diagnostic doctor as well for treatment inside your dep.Start with a low number and increase it as you get more patients.Do a rotation and train them all.

4.You can buy ambulance and turn them off in order to complet some insurrance objectif.

5.Pill cash for a big expantion and when you are done build an urgency trauma for ambulance start training them.Build your intensive care as well. You don't need a lot of doc there.1 at night 2 at the day and train them too with the nurse.

After that point you should complet all the firsts 4 insurance compagny and ready to unlock your second 130% insurance compagny(i don't recall the name). You should have around 95 to 110 patients a day,a smooth running hospital completly on auto with some rare case were the game send you some patients with only 1 or 2 symptom that take age to diag them. You should do around 20k with a full training room of people training(prefab one)once you done training them all and ready to open a new dept you should make around 50k a days without training anyone on pick day and 20k on bad events day.You should have around 15 to 23 patients per day inside your ortho dept bed. From there keep expending the same way.

I have too much money, I can't spend it all.

You hit a point in game where you get insurance bonuses in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Even without bonuses, my hospital makes at least 20k per day, usually much more daily.

My biggest issue is that I want as few deaths as possible, and that, my friend, is the final boss of this game.

After all the responses I read the OPs request once more. Now I would be interested in seeing one of his hospitals. I got a feeling that it´s not about earning enough money but about spending too much money and inefficiencies.
