why does my orthopaedy EMG not work. i can place it but does not let me hire a doctor. it keeps saying missing equipment. plese help

Is it still showing as blue?
You need to place a stool in front of it, and one to the side indicated with a blue arrow.

Blue equipment means it is missing an additional piece(s) of equipment that must be paired with it - like how a PC stays blue until you put an office chair in front of it.

This aspect of the game is rather confusing. I had the same problem and the only way I could find out what was missing in a room was to look at a blueprint and compare. It is not at all obvious which bit of furniture is missing or placed incorrectly. Also, I know some essential room items are/were not marked as such (this may have been fixed now).

I wish there was a different color in the items list showing which items are dependent on others and missing. It works for the operating table and all its accessories, but somehow chairs are just ignored all the time.

I must say this was one helluva puzzle. There is absolutely no indication of what and where is needed.

this is retarded, i still can't figure it out. I figured it out, you need a Square table, its not so obvious when there are other similar furniture.

I liked the comment about what a "blue" item means. But, what does a "green" item mean? I have one -- a couch -- in a common room, and I cannot move it

I couldn’t figure out which color is highlighted where—it’s completely unclear. It would be convenient to just add the requirements to the item’s description instead of using confusing highlights, like they do in other parts of this wonderful game!!!
