What's good about hiring high level doctors, nurses, technicians, and janitors?
What is the advantage of hiring higher level doctors/nurses/technicians/janitors?
They gain their levels with their work experiences, but their skills and specializations seem to stay the same. Their salaries rise with level. If there is no advantage of hiring higher level workers, is it better to fire specialists, nurse specialists, master janitors, and master scientists, and replace them with lower level workers?
Is hiring an intern doctor and training him/her to have high level of skill to 100% better than hiring a specialist with a big daily salary?

Okay. Differential Diagnosis can be selected when a doctor is at a fellow level. How is a specialist doctor better than a fellow doctor? Moreover, what about higher level nurses, technicians, and janitors?

From I read, nothing. Higher level doctors are just more experienced. They are not cheaper or more expensive for their experience.

I saw someone wrote that that's a random number like between $1-$70 that each doctor gets in bonus pay regardless of their skill level. And then they all get paid the same rate on experience.

As far as experience. High level doctors get 2 specializations The specializations allows them to do things. And the higher experience in all their skills allows them to do it faster or with more accuracy.

Well you should not be giving advise to people when most of the stuff you are saying is wrong.

First of all about doctor and experiance. As your doctor get more exp and lvl up its will cost more money. The amount of money a doctor cost is based on his initial cost. For example if you create your own doctor the initial cost will be around 150$-200$ per day if i recall right and will max up at around 490$ per day.Comparing it to if you hire skilled doctor, its could cost around 600$ to 900$ per day depending of his skill lvl. That why its worth spending 10k to create your own doctor and train it.At the end you will save a lot of money once your hospital have around 400 worker.

About skills. Each first skill of any job(the one at top left)Is the speed of the action they are doing. The second one at top right is different depending what they are.For doctor its will be skill that help AI to diagnostic patients.Higher the skill easier ai will diagnostic patient and less false diagnostic will happen. Its also help you when taking control of doc.Its will be much easier for you to find symptome as well.

Concerning departement skills like surgery and others. Its will speed up treatment they do,chance complication happen after treatment was done like surgery, change to diagnostic problem tied to the departement.

Advanced dignanostic help when you use differential diagnostic.Hopefully its give you a better idea.

The wages are defined in the occupations.xml, sorted by different professions.

Lets take a doctor for example:

<GameDBOccupation ID="OCCUPATION_DOCTOR"> <IncompatibleAgeCategories> <AgeCategoryRef>AGE_SENIOR</AgeCategoryRef> </IncompatibleAgeCategories> <CompatibleClothingStyles> <ClothingStyleRef>CLTHSTL_MALE_DOCTOR</ClothingStyleRef> <ClothingStyleRef>CLTHSTL_FEMALE_DOCTOR</ClothingStyleRef> </CompatibleClothingStyles> <CanBeGenerated>false</CanBeGenerated> <SalaryBase>27</SalaryBase>
<SalaryPerLevel>82</SalaryPerLevel>
<SalaryHiredExtraPerLevelMin>10</SalaryHiredExtraPerLevelMin>
<SalaryHiredExtraPerLevelMax>50</SalaryHiredExtraPerLevelMax>

SalaryBase is the fixed part of the wage.
SalaryPerLevel is the part that depends on the experience of the doctor. More experience, more money. Think of it as fixed wages from wage tables.
SalaryHiredExtraPerLevelMin and SalaryHiredExtraPerLevelMax are the random bits of the wage, so that not everyone makes the same amount of money. Think of it as bonuses.

Now our doctor is at level 3 and quite lucky with bonuses. So we can add 27 (SalaryBase) + 246 (SalaryPerLevel ... 82 x 3) + 40 (SalaryHiredExtra ... a random roll of the dice). So our doctor makes 313$.

The shifts can be adjusted - their is a guide for that.

But keep in mind that every change must be balanced somehow with the income from treating the patients.

Maybe start by just raising the <SalaryBase> a bit.

I'm amazed how easy it is to mod this game, at least as tweaking the database goes.

For everything else you said, you just repeated what I said but wrote a book about it.
