Doctors stay on one floor. I was mostly interested in identify nurses and techs as they roam the hospital
I did that at first to study where my doctors and nurses of each department are going to at a glance. Do my emergency doctors need to go too far to satisfy their needs? What department is using this break room the most? (I found out my surgery doctors were using a lot a break room on another floor because the one closest to their department was too small). What department are these cleaners coming from? From what department is this nurse tending to a collapsed patient? I can zoom out and see at a glance if there's a surgery nurse coming to pick up a patient in TC because she'll be probably the only one in blue and so it's faster to notice if it's taking too long or not instead of just observing the patient and waiting with him for the nurse. Which department is responsible for the transfer of patients?
I had a lot of questions answered this way and I just let it be. It's more useful to me than seeing who is a doctor or a nurse. =)
Do you use a mod that adds colors? I thought the game UI limited it to 9 colors max
TY so much... Now I'll go back go giving a golly gosh darn now that I have a color for every department.
I forgot my original color scheme, but my Doctors and Nurses in ICU all wore red since red is a color associated with urgency and the Doctors and Nurses assigned to Orthopedics wore white so as to symbolize the color of bones.
Doctors: White. (Both clinic and on-call.)
Technologists-Lab employees: Turquoise.
Technologists-Everyone else: Pale Green. (I'd go with Neon Green-if only!)
Custodians: Black.
Surgeons: Teal.
Nurses by department:
Emergency: Mint.
ICU: Red.
General Surgery: Pink.
Internal Medicine: Sky Blue.
Orthopedics: Yellow.
Cardiology: Light Purple.
Neurology: Purple.
