No waiting room available around a diagnostic room -pop up

I tried searching this topic, but did not find any posts that have identical issues, so I'll post a new one.

Am I the only who has been getting the "There's no waiting room available around a diagnostic room" -pop up more frequently after the Traumatology DLC? It seems I can't finish any events any more as I get at least one patient every time who can use his/her own feet, but cannot find a specific lab.

An example, I had a contaminated water event, where patients had digestion related issues. I chose "blood test" and "microbial cultivation" while the patient was an ER clinic patient. After the doctor had taken the blood samples, the pop up appears stating there is no waiting room within reach of a Hematology lab, the patient leaves and the event is failed.

I do have two types of labs: ones set to only clinic patients and others to only hospitalized patients (for example a lab within General Surgery department is only set to hospitalized patients). Now I don't know if the clinic patients want to go to hospitalized only -labs that have no waiting rooms, because... well, they're inside departments near wards and their techs set to only HP. If this is so, I don't understand the patient's logic since the clinic labs and their waiting rooms are literally 20 steps away from the ER offices while the GS labs are three stories away.

The clinic patient labs have working waiting rooms with enough seats and other necessary items and several patients do use them without issues, but these pop up patients are now more frequent.

One thought has occurred to me, that do the departments, like ER, need to have their own waiting rooms near the labs? In addition to Medical laboratories waiting rooms?

I have not experienced this issue. If I were you, I would try 2 steps in order to clarify where the issue occurs. First I would check if removing and then re-assigning the waiting rooms for the intended laboratory fixes the problem. If not I would check if they indeed want to go to the hospitalization-only laboratory by building a minimalistic waitingroom in the corridor next to those.

What I have experienced though, is that technologists have been resetting their allowance for diagnosing hospital/clinic only patients when levelling up. Maybe it is worth checking out if the same has happened to you?

I've tried doing this and so far in events patients now seem to go to labs where they're supposed to go, but unfortunately the same issue pops up every now and then outside events.

The most recent one was an ER patient who was for some reason wandering around (going to a bathroom, vending machine etc. possibly) four floors up and at the complete opposite side of the hospital, trying to go to a 'hospitalized patients only' lab inside my General Surgery ward. I checked the techs and every one of them was assigned to 'HO' patients.

I had this same issue at another location (inside Internal Medicine, HO patients as well), but I tried placing a small ER waiting room next to it and that seemed to have remedied the problem. I did in fact place a Lab waiting room there at first, which didn't help, but it's interesting an ER waiting room fixed it. Still, the same fix didn't work with the GS lab.

I don't know, maybe I'll try to delete all the labs, build new ones and get new technicians. But I'd still LOVE to have the option to assign each department/ward their own specific labs and exam rooms (e.g. X-ray & CT).
