Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
So the treatment for this is "Recommendations", but my doctor's don't seem to be able to prescribe it.
I am able to give Recommendations for other symptoms though.
How can I fix this? I'm having to send patients away that have CFS.

Hi @Kriis101, can you post a screenshot of the issue maybe? The treatment is the same recommendations as the other symptoms, some CFS has, like Trouble Rising. You or your doctors should just select CFS as the final diagnosis and the treatment should be available. The treatment might be available before that is seven selected though. No specific department or skill is needed and the code looks like it should work just fine. Unless the diagnosis can't have the same treatment as one of the symptoms?
Is the treatment showing as already been given in the treatments section (it'd be orange or blue without the box).
Just to make sure, are you using any mods?

I checked up somewhere else, and found out that the actual treatment should be exercise. I think a mod might of changed the symptoms_main xml file, so I changed it back to exercise as treatment, and now it works fine.
Just for completion, CFS was selected as the diagnosis, but recommendations wasn't showing up as a possible treatment, although I was getting the popup to say that the treatment-recommendations isn't available. That was why I was confused, as like you say, other symptoms like trouble rising could be treated with recommendations, even by the same doctor.

To anyone else who may have this issue, go into the base game files - find the symptoms_main.xml and use ctrl-f to find CFS, then change the treatment to "TRT_EXERCISE". That will fix the issue (until maybe the mod at fault updates and changes it back??)

P.S. Sleepy - You might want to check if it is one of your mods that caused it? I have both Oncology and CRP, as well as a few more, and havn't got around to checking which one is at fault yet. Oncology is the next department I'm opening in my hospital btw :) Thanks for the work for the community!

Hi, the actual treatment should be doctors recommendations, it was changed by the devs in patch 27. Good you got it working again none the less though.

It is possibly a bug by the sounds of things unless you have mods that change the stock diagnosis code (like increased payouts or realistic collapse and disease incidence).
I get the feeling the main symptom might not be able to have the same treatment as sub symptoms. Should be easy to test though!

Luckily, Oncology and CRP don't touch any of the stock code so they definitely shouldn't be changing it.

Ahh, thanks for the reply. I do have the Increased Payout mod actually. I think I'll remove it after reading your comment on that. I havn't added IM dept yet, but will be doing at some point.
Now I guess I should change the symptoms_main xml file back to Recommendations and see how it works.

Hi @kriis, I'd definitely recommend that as the mod is unfortunately quite out of date. There are a handful of disabled diagnosis of which that mod re-enables. Most won't cause too many issues but it will re-enable surgery based Internal Medicine diagnosis which will be very problematic. Fortunately you should be able to remove it without any issues.
Does look like that mod might have been the source of your issue though as it'd revert the CFS diagnosis to how it use to be. Let me know if you have any further issues or miss the double payment mod, be happy to help out further.
