Thoracentesis not an available treatment.
A patient needs a Thoracentesis treatment. The patient was already hospitalized (regular) at the Internal Medicine Department. The treatment states that "Hospitalization required for the treatment is not available".

Patient had to be transferred to ICU before treatment could be prescribed. HDU at Internal Medicine was full.

When I had HDU beds available the treatment suddenly became available. Note that the patient did not require upgrading from Regular hospital bed to HDU bed to get the treatment, only that an HDU bed was available.

you're either using incompatible mods (bedside exams / realistic collapses need update for DLC) and/or you forgot to replace IM's OR with the new specialized room :)

Hi, I believe you have answered your own question actually :) I've checked that Thoracentesis does actually require HDU hospitalisation, from the XML files, so that would explain why your patient cannot receive the treatment from regular hospitalisation. On the other hand, ICU ward functions similarly to HDU and would thus serve the purpose.

It wasn't actually a question. It was a report of problem with the game. The XML file may say HDU hospitalization required, but the in-game note does not say HDU hospitalization required. I have also discovered that HDU hospitalization is NOT required, only that a HDU bed is available.

Ah, I see! In that case, I stand corrected :)

Hi! can you help me with the construction of the room to the thoracentesis procedure? or send me a photo? thanks!

I'm not sure how a picture could help, but here it is. There are 2 rooms for Special Procedures in Internal Medicine and both of those rooms have a Thoracentesis machine. Both rooms also have all required and suggested equipment, except a stretcher.

As I have stated above, it is not that I can't prescribe and complete the Thoracentesis procedure. It is just that it won't allow you to prescribe it IF you do not have an available HDU bed in the Internal Medicine department. I have also proven that the patient does not need HDU hospitalization to receive the treatment, as regular hospitalization works, as long as a HDU bed is available.
