Which lab should you start with?

Starting small and building out as money comes in which medical lab should be built first?

Second? Third?

Obviously which is most used vs least used as you grow.

Haematology is the most used lab and has the highest workload. The second most useful is the Histology lab and the Microbiology lab is the least used one.

But since you need all three labs to assess your patients properly, you should build all of them at the same time. Just build them up over time, workplace by workplace whenever the demand rises. Most of the equipment per lab is shared between the workplaces, so one lab sample refrigerator is enough for 1x workplace as it is for 5x workplaces. Add equipment whenever you feel there is a bottleneck (f.e. when things are slow because your 4 haema-labtecs all want to use the blood analyzer at the same time).

Like ~kt and Oberkampfkater, I'd suggest that haematology is the most used lab. And since you will need them all once you open pretty much any specialist department (except for ortho?), I also think it makes sense to build them all pretty quickly.

They have fairly expensive equipment, but the staffing is cheap at least.
