why? this is a HUGE thing in hospitals..
don't let kids die??... Elder Scrolls just makes kids immortal. and the sims as well.
But the devs don't object that such things could be implemented through mods. That is a good compromise.
I just hope we can obtain the same level of realism and detail as if the developers did it with mods.
I know this may be a terrible thing to say.. but if we are talking about realism.. children die in hospitals everyday.. infants, child, teens, young adults, adults and seniors.. it's a part of life and it could be used as a teaching tool / insight tool especially when one of your patients in the hospital has a terminal illness (cancer) and is a child... people today want to just shut themselves off from anything in the world that hurts or bothers them. I'm not advocating for things like this to be the norm.. but if your game is based off realism. you could use it as a tool for awareness.. even make it a DLC in the future with proceeds going to say a Childrens Hospital or Childrens Chairty to finding a cure for cancer.
this would be the same approach another game I found did when it had children in a war zone. they donated all the proceeds (or most of it, i think) to a charity that helps children escape and have a better life after being affected by a warzone or war.
