Painting
I hope when an update is done, we're allowed to paint the interior walls and the exterior walls different colors, inside the rooms, the actual hospital cooridors, and the exterior. It's a bit wonky at the moment and mine looks like a patchwork quilt :steamfacepalm:

Not sure what do you mean, could you show me a screenshot?

I think Allorya means, that e.g. if you want to have tiles on the one side of the room and a wooden structure on the other it is not possible yet. If e.g. restroom and doctors office are next to each other, doctors room should have wooden panels at wall, the wooden tiles are also shown on the bathroom wall, that does not look good ;)

To work around this, you can put the part of the wall in e.g. tiles which are part of bathroom because currently you anyway dont see the other side of the wall. But if DEV might add the feature to rotate camera at some pont, it is crucial to have a possibility to "paint" the walls.

A possible solution might be to have a similar feature as for the flooring. The Walls at build up could be always the same - or maybe differ between inside and outside walls, outside walls might be a bit thicker (e.g. white, or concrete color), but you can "paint" the wall color on it afterwards.

Just Da Oage says - you need to be able to paint each side of the wall a different color after they are placed.

IS this fixed yet? Otherwise i'm done with this game...
Why when building a restroom at the front of the hospital, must i have random bathroom tiles as the front exterior wall just because the bathroom is at the front of the hospital?

There's no way to paint just the textures of the walls like in Theme Hospital ?

Of course the walls can be different materials on different sides, whether external/internal or just in neighboring rooms. You can rotate the view and repaint the walls as you wish.

This is odd, you can paint each side of a wall however you like: each side can be different or the same, and are completely independent. Why not try it in game?

Steps required:

1) Build a wall with the desired appearance on the side you can see

2) Rotate so the other side shows

3) Change the appearance of this side to how you want (BTW, in all modern versions of the game, this side will initially be the plasterboard texture if the wall is new, rather than a copy of the original side)

4) Rotate so the original side shows, check it has remained as desired

This works every time for me: any time you paint one side of a wall, the other side doesn't change. In other words, it works as expected. If your game doesn't do this then there's something truly weird going on.

I vaguely remember problems from when the OP posted, in 2018: back then rotation had been added to the game as a completely new feature. But it hasn't been an issue for a very long time.

Yup that works thanks, but nowhere is that explained even in the tutorial.
Either way, it's the worst design choice. I'd like the game much better if such design choices were fixed. There was nothing wrong with the way 2point Hospital did it really. :)
