not enough beds

Hello,

i'm new to the game so i'm probably doing something wrong. Atm i have a clinic with emergency, ICU and general surgeon department and i have an admittance of around 115 patients a day, my problem is that i never seem to have enough hospital beds.
I have 32 regular bed, 30 HDU en 12 ICU bed and i keep having to create more, is this normal? also alot of patients are waiting in bed for a docter/technician but my docters keep sitting in their on call room.

any ideas?

Check out your hospitalized patients.
Maybe there are common things they are waiting for. Like surgery or X-ray. Which are usually the bottlenecks.

The problems seems to be the docters, they are all "preparing for surgery" altough there are no patients that need surgery, even after i tweak their roles so they can do only diagnostics, they keep "preparing for surgery"

It could also be a problem on the nurses side. If there are no nurses available for surgery or for patient transport, the doctors will keep sitting in their on call rooms. You could try to assign a few nurses only for transport and a few only for surgery if you haven't done this yet.
