I maybe wrong, but I think the On-Call Doctors & Nurses Department take care of the Emergency Room. I could be wrong, but thats what I think.

No, you're right. The outpatient clinic closes at night so the only new patients that come to the ER at night arrive by ambulance, which is handled by the on-call doctors and the nurses in the nurses station. They also cover anyone sent to observation rooms by the day clinic.

Still don´t understand why an emergency in athe hospital - or the hospital in general - has closing times. Not very realistic ;)

There is a bug and something I think there was intentional. When you start hiring for on call, sometimes it won't let you switch to night until you fill out day.

Sometimes I reload the game and it will let me do it anyway.

Dude, did you ever visited a hospital at night?
It looks like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ghosttown.

Nobody without heavy injuries would go to the hospital at night and they are treated by on call doctors and nurses who are in the game

Have you ever visited a hospital at night?

As an EMT, that can sometimes be when it's most packed. With walk-ins.

It is not placed in the game night shift in the emergency! To me is very unrealistic too! But there is a hope, devs are considering night shifts! If this is implemented, we will have one only solution to two problems: emergency unrealistc and patients untreated decreasing (because today one patient is not treated if clinic time ends lol)

Yeah it is setup like those small 'for profit' acute care clinics in th US rather than a proper city hospital ER department.

I mod so i got Patients coming in 24/7 Ambulance comes in at 12 times a day instead of 2. I change the Skills and perks on Drs and Nurses,Lab techs,Janitor...Day and Night shift works 12 hrs shifts with Bonus..Have no problem yet with anything...Once you know the ins and outs of this game things will go smoothly..:)

I'd expect fewer patients with trivial symptoms at night, mainly due to them preferring to sleep if they are not in distress. But I would expect the painful contusions and fractures etc to keep coming in - if you slipped at home and now your arm is hurting or bleeding you would want it seen the same night but not necessarily call an ambulance. Heck if you tried to call an ambulance for a sprained arm in England you'd be waiting a week while they tried to cope with all the people who have actually stopped breathing or been decapitated (ok a little exaggeration) but on the whole we're expected to try and get ourselves in if we can. So basically about half of the people we get into the walk-in clinic might still feel the need for attention in the night.

As far as the other departments are concerned, elective surgeries won't be admitted at night, so they would only get intake from emergency department in the night. I guess that bit is already correct

I agree that the emergency department feels a bit confused at the moment.

The clinic side is definitely more like a general practitioners or acute care/minor injury centre at the moment than proper emergency department.

It would be good if we could get more genuine critical emergency patients throughout the day, and also still get moderately serious walk-ins throughout the night - similar to how most real emergency departments work.
At the moment it feels like we have a GPs clinic, and then a couple of genuine emergency admissions overnight only.
