Also, for example, a ward has to be connected to operating room via corridor in order to transport the patient to surgery and back.

Mine work without that...All my corrifors are assigned to emergancy, like all my janitors. So, I made all corridors emergancy for them. But, all my other rooms work without hallways assigned to their deparment.

Corridors can also act as holding area for crowded wards. Make patient beds portable so nurses can park them to the corridor for a large amount of patients to stay.

There are two kinds of beds in hospital: the stretcher and patient bed. Stretcher is a mobile bed that is only used for transporting patients, not for long-term resting. The patient bed in game is a fixed entity (so far I know) and nurses cannot move it.

I think there should be a sterilization department to store some clean patient beds, and replace with "dirty/containimated" patient bed in rotation regimes.

Placing lots of beds along the corridor is considerable for some events like large-scale accidents, you have to stablize them and give them beds before consider resend them to other hospitals, or you will lose large amount of profits.

Yes yes..we should know, if there isnt enough beds, we lose profits..But, you didnt explain how to make "bed portable"...I didnt think stretchers worked that way....
Are you saying that you just added beds, for 'the room', out in the hallways? Like extra ward beds in the hall, for the ward?
It may "work"..But, seems like it would be ugly...lol

Plus, I keep most of my halls 2 sq. Less for janitors to clean, and thing move along easier. The only wide spots are for WR.

Sorry I didn't rephrase it correctly.

Yes, imagine the corridor is like a road lane, there can be a parking lane for cars. So in analogy those beds for crowded patients can also temporarily place them there. Like that picture:

I agree the AI should park those beds properly, or it will be a deep mess and blocking the corridor. Maybe draw a lane/area could do, that's as far as I can think of.

What I run into most, is the need for ward beds. So I just make sure to leave space for more single ward rooms, later in game. They are about 5k each, if Im remembering right. So, they arent too costly. Just takes "planning" out a head of time.
But, if you have the room in the hall, and need an extra bed. This concept would work. I have extended the nurse station 'area' and added a extra desk. (needed another nurse for transport) and it worked fine. So, this has to work. (if you have the room)
I would rather leave room for single bed rooms, to be added later.
