Department not functional / operational

Hi Guys,
I've just startet a new game and opened only a Neurology Clinic.

As Patients arrive sometimes I get the message that a Department is not functional / operational but I've got every room needed for Neurology... no red numbers left... :-( Can somebody please tell me where this is coming from?

In the Pop-Up it shows also "Hidden". There is currently no way for me to find out what's the problem as there is no hint in the Logs or so.

Any help is highly appreciatied!

so do i , i have no idea what is wrong.
i have already enough surgeons, nurses, operating room. And they got a surgery skills. but some patients can’t fully treament.

Do you have any emergency rooms at all? I wonder if it doesn't like you doing neurology without the basics.

I guess you can't 'open' (properly) any other department if you don´t build Emergency first. I may be wrong, but looks like you have to follow a bulding order.

I'm still trying to understand this, and searching the correct order to build.

Hmmm... but why am I allowed to Build an Neurology than? If it is like you mentioned then they should lock Neurology and unlock it only if you have built the Emergency.

At the first day I've made good Money with it even if there were that messages... but on the second or third day I had no Patients anymore... not a single one.

Do you have hospitalization open for Neurology? Which means you have the right side of the screen unlocked under neurology? You need to unlock hospitalization for specific dept's by unlocking more insurance companies.

Just checking.

Also yes, you need emergency first. Clinic for sure, then hospitalization for emergency if you have it unlocked. (includes trauma ctr, on call rooms, etc...)

Hey Hawke,

I've unlocked the Station for Neuro on the right side of the screen. Then I've built all the Rooms AND... face the next problem... I need a Doctor with neurology chirurg specialization... but I was not able to find a doctor with this specialization.

But the problem with the non functional station already occured after opening the neurology (without hospitalization).

It seems a bit odd that we have to set up emergency first as if it's so important, and then the department closes at night, as if no one ever hurt themselves in the night! And what is wrong with having a neurology hospital that doesn't take accidents and influenza etc? We should be allowed.

Only the emergency clinic closes at night, hospitalization stays active.

That's all very well for people in road accidents who will come by ambulance, but what about people with influenza and sprains and stuff who still might be sick in the night

You dont have to hire crews from the selected "clinic".
If you need a surgenion for, lets say heart..But, you dont see a surgeon. Then look though the other tabs, like emergancy, or brain. As long as they are a surgeon, you can have them work ANY department.

This is correct. You can transfer the doctor or nurse to another department, there is the last icon on their card to transfer. I like to click on the room itself and under design, you can click the tab which shows you what specialist you need. If there's isn't one then I just recycle to next 4. You can also hire just by clicking the hire tab on the left side window for the dept.

Sorry to necropost but this is the top Google result. I had the same problem, turns out, I need to assign a Restroom to Emergency specifically. The game did not like it that I had all my restrooms assigned to Admin. Super confusing.
