2. Those people that leave untreated come back to finish the process. I don't think it's time wasted.
But it would be better for doctors to understand that when the diagnosis is already 100% safe, there is no need to add any more tests.
I hope a patch will fix this problem quickly.
I don't think they ever order this type of test for minor things like a fever in real life.
I've tried manually selecting the bacterial diagnosis and treating them, but you get in trouble if you're wrong.
Some symptoms cause collapse, others discomfort, some symptoms lead to other symptoms... Diarrhoea leads to thirst leads to dehydration leads to collapse leads to death.
There are a few reasons you might want to continue diagnosis.
The 'certainty' setting in the department management screen controls some of this, but it's not clear exactly what it does. I suspect if it's at 'high' then they will aim to determine more symptoms. Try it on 'low' and see if you prefer the effect?
It seems it's not really about the certainty of the diagnosis but the amount of acceptable hidden symptoms. At high certainty no hidden symptoms are allowed to remain.
At medium certainty some hidden symptoms are allowed and in case of multiple options, the diagnosis skill of the doctor is checked to determine if he/she picks the right one.
Of course, I'm just guessing. :-)
