operate patients at night
Is it possible? I didnt find out how yet...also the ui says 0 needed for night shift in each departement with an operating room.
If you look at the stats for op rooms it also says daytime/nighttime workload, so it has to work somehow?
I have the same amount of staff for night shift operating as in daytime and they dont operate at night.
What about emergency operations which cant happen unless taken to icu first?

Right now i cant operate everyone at daytime tho im only at the beginning at campaign 3 (the last one) and patients complaing about long waiting times for operation, tho i could operate them at night right now.
I understand that hopsitals only operate at nighttime when neccessary but i still want to be able to do that..

Need to have a full set of operating staff: surgeon, assisting doctor, anaethesiologist, surgical nurse and assisting nurse, and an extra nurse to transport the patient (with a reduced staff at night it's usually the last one that scuppers you - also requires that none of those people is busy with a diagnosis room, or other patient transfer or process)

Game shows 0 required because it isn't mandatory to run your operating theatre at night, but you absolutely can if you like.
No operation requires an ICU visit - that is a separate process to stabilise collapsed patients. There is no interdependency between ICU and operating theatres.

Huh...i have two doctors with op skills and also assigned, one for anaethesiologist and a surgical nurse, too. Also more than enough nurses for transport, yet the docotrs only chilling in the on call room.
I had a case of laparoscopy where the info said i had to commit to icu first. It says needed op-room + icu station. 1st time ever i saw that. After patient got transfered to icu the laparoscopy icon was not greyed out anymore.

Also i figured about the 0 and only mandatory. Let me try again...

Need another two nurses and another doctor (any skill) as well as the specialists. They also need to not be occupied by other tasks... It's a lot of people to be not busy at the same time. Are they all idle?

I've not seen that laparoscopy requirement - I've certainly done laparoscopies without ICU. Was it a post-surgical requirement?

Ah sorry its "abdominal operation" - maybe it was the 1st time i had this but patient is now lying on ICU waiting for operation and i cant transfer her anymore to surgery and icu cant operate, so how will the patient be operated now?
Im still trying to add enough staff and make them only work as surgeon, etc...

Edit:
Alright..thanks for the help. Its working now if i dont let them diagnose patients, too when they should operate. I thought its more like they do whats more urgent first but i see now that the roles you can assign them too are also very important so like you said they are not busy with anything else. But a surgeon should also diagnose things, maybe they should add a feature with a queue system for staff what they prioritize i think that would make things a lot easier.
