Still, would be good to understand the full mechanics of these items. Do they have to be placed right next to the doors? Why do they sometimes not seem to work? What's the interplay between these items and reception?
Loving this game but still quite a few little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like this that you're left to discover through intuition and trial and error - which I'm not averse to, but sometimes the solution isn't very obvious.
IE ticket 10 to room 5.
In game you want 1 machine and screen per waiting room (you can add more but it has no effect).
Thanks, I knew that - in the screenshot you'll see my machine was paired with an info screen; the reason it was blue was because it wasn't placed in a waiting room or corridor.
Kotli's made me realise something, though - that you only need one machine/screen combo per waiting room. I'd thought you needed one for each room. So thanks to him/her for that tip!
As for the tickets, if you don't have one, the doctor has to get outside and call the next patient in line, then enter its room and wait for the patient. So, it's faster with a ticket because the doctor doesn't need to move, and patients just come by themselves.
