Trauma Center Not Active

Just a quick question guys. I have set up a emergency hopitilization area, my observation room is active (taking patients from the clinic) but the truama center hasn't had a single patient yet - is there a reason for this?

Trauma centers only takes people delivered by ambulance. Ambulance patients come only if your insurance contracts include that.

If anything, check out the "dependency" chart on departaments overview, it explains all requirements and connections and what you're missing

It also takes colapsed patients ... did you have any of those?

I've had none at all, the only patients i have are those going into the observation rooms, noone touches the truama room at all. Do i need an amulance before i can use this room? Seems odd i can build one but not use it?

Thats the whole point. Think of trauma rooms as normal doctor offices but for ambulance people

Yes, but i've had no ambulances turn up nor can i buy one so why is it needed so early in the game?

Yes ambulance or department clinics (general surgery, cardiology, etc.) ... when you have more clinics you'll get patients with more serious diseases and then they can colapse and end up in trauma center.
