BLUE HIGHLIGHTS

Blue highlighting of objects show equipment that has already been placed and leaves my offices showing as unfinished/ missing equipment....bug

Is there access to the objects for the staff? Some things need access from multiple sides and if blocked they dont count toward completing the room.

I can't really tell because I can't rotate the building actually see where I put everything. So I think being able to rotate the building would help out a lot.

I am having this problem as well, with PCs in particular. I go to place a PC on a desk facing the correct way and it turns blue as soon as I place it down, with the objects list showing that I still need a PC before the room is complete.

Every other item I have tried placing down so far has worked fine, but for some reasons PCs just don't want to cooperate.

I'm in the third tutorial, I build my first diagnostic room larger than minimum spec, plop an exam table in the middle of the empty room with access points all around, and it immediately goes blue. No matter where I place it, it remains blue. After I add all other required room components, being careful not to impede access points to the exam table, it remains blue. The room tells me that it is missing equipment. Can't proceed. Same thing after re-starting the level. Same thing after restarting the game. Extremely frustrating.


UPDATE: ugh. It turns out that the dialysis machine absolutely must be placed in only one spot relative to the exam table. So if you have the bad luck of placing another item in that magic spot before you try to place your dialysis machine, you're boned.

I sure hope the rest of this game isn't as incredibly non-intuitive as the equipment placement feature appears to be.

PC's need a chair at the desk to work, and it looks like it only accepts two of the different chair types (office chair is one of them).

The tutorial could explain things better. It took me forever to figure out blue meant that it needed another item near it.

When object turns blue, it needs some additional equipment to be usable ... for instance pc needs office chair, bed needs bedside cabinet or live monitor, etc...

So for the dialysis machine, I built the diagnostic unit, I put the exam table in it, I put the dialysis machine in the blue spot causing the table to also turn blue, however it still says I don't have the ability to use the dialysis machine. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong here.

dialysis treatment needs free bed at regular ward ... hover your mouse over the grayed procedure to see why you cannot prescribe it.
