Autolights
This is a request to the developers for the next patch. Please, please, please, please give us the option to keep all the lights on in the hospital during the night shift. At least in the corridors. It looks very weird having all the lights turn on and off randomly. Thank you!

They don’t turn off randomly they turn off when the “room” is not in use if you have enough janitors the lights will probably stay on with maybe a flicker or two if they all decide to clean you bathrooms

I agree and had the same thought yesterday.

Aware of that. The work around is to zone all your corridors under one department since corridors are shared. Would still appreciate an option to turn autolights off.

Corridors, Waiting Areas, and Reception should never have the lights turn off, just like in a real hospital. The flickering of the lights all night is very annoying from a gameplay perspective. And yes, corridors shouldn't be attached to specific departments. I'll also say that Janitors/Bathrooms/Recreation Rooms shouldn't be per department either, they should just be general use and by proximity.

I work in a real hospital and those lights are sensor activated, they go off if no one is there.

In most real hospitals and all new builds by law in the EU, janitor closets must be in or near a department or ward due to the potential to spread infection.

My point exactly

I understand wanting an option to leave them on but i think adding a utilities not just power cost but a water cost would have to happen at the same time

Has there been any headway on this? I still don't see this in the Options as of 2024! Cheers

Oh, it looks like this got lost among all the other little features/improvements that were getting implemented during the very active and slightly chaotic development stage in 2019. We for example added an option to keep light always on in building mode. We can check if this is still something we can easily add in an upcoming patch.
