USG puzzle
My patient with a sore elbow in Emergency department clinic needed an ultrasound exam. I could only find USG room under Cardiology. Does this mean I need an entire working cardiology department before I can scan patients with tennis elbow???

On top right of patient-card you can send him to another department or another doc.
So send him to Cardiology.

Well my point is I don't have a functioning cardiology department, just the USG room. I mean in real life you don't need a cardiology specialist department to perform ultrasounds. It seems a very strange game mechanism. And he wasn't a heart patient! So basically you're telling me "yes you need an entire working cardiology department to diagnose a bad elbow" lol

There are two other departments with USG.
Build one of them, or send the patient to another hospital.

Ah... I found them... So I need one per department, the room can't be shared?

The room itself probably needs to be under one given department, yes. And, no, medical staff do not wander between departments. Janitors do, I think.

Ah... one more related question: With the operating room, which can be shared between departments, do the surgical team from, say, orthopedy go upstairs and use the general surgery one, or do they transfer the patient to the surgical department?

The surgical team from Ortho would go upstairs to the general surgery OR and use that.

Not sure, but I think you can force TC hospitalization and use FAST that is the same as USG.
