"I like the graphic style, but the depth-scaling bugs me.
Would be better if you could switch that off and use integer scaling (1:1).
As of now the pixels gets distorted. It looks like water ripples all over the screen and everything wobbles when moving the camera. The lower resolution you have the worse it gets.
On the Steam Deck it's completely unbearable to me.

Reason: Just one battlefield is a major deterrent to playing with more friends.
2) Dragons need to fly

Cycle active = inactive (defending) heroes get selected. That makes no sense.
Cycle inactive = If my brain is retarded, I end my turn while heroes still have plenty of movement left.
HoMM actually already solved this perfectly in my opinion.
You have very little work to do to come to the same great setup.
End turn triggers end turn checks.
These are as followed. ANY of these conditions throws up the SAME generic confirmation popup - which is already implemented.
1) You opted in for double-confirmation in the menu
2) Heroes have movement points left
2a) NOT counting ones currently in Defender mode
2b) If not too much work, implement a button for a DesiredIdle state. HoMM had this and it was great. Say you want a hero stationed somewhere for whatever reason, but not interact with it 99% of the time.
3) Settlements have build options left
1) Find a way to sort Rana's unit board, so we dont have to sort miracles managing the army troops to have red dragons on the army.
2) Might you consider to change the "hitbox" of the buildings, so it doesnt care how visually large a building is, you still can click behind it, as the AI will do, withouth having to do weird stuff with the camera

3) It will be amazing to be able to "set a defensive position". Allowing you to spend resources and time to set a very basic defenses up. Similar to a small town defenses. I like the idea of having the small towns for that, but then enemy can just pass by, ignoring your defensive towers. Just becuse towns dont have an "area" of efect for those defensive towers (maybe thats a thing to consider instead of this stupid idea of mine)
Heroes 3 had those fortifications made in. But they were static, and just on a few maps not allowing you to choose where to use them. Also they didnt require a hero.
Since then, I always had this thought about the quick fortification idea being a thing.
I considered how overpowered could it be. But requiring a esencialist to be in, the resorces and the time to "set" those positions (with very basic defenses), and because in most maps, even random, they already are a few paths in and out of any settlement...
It really doenst feel wrong. You have to consider if you want to do it or its not worth. And it will help with some teams having advantage on random maps, because the ended up with a castle that perfecty closes the way in because the walls perfectly shuts with the terrain.
Anyway, thats just a stupid thing i wanted to post. Mostly wont come to an end. Specially because you need to consider a lot of things before having a feature like this implemented into a game. And might come with other problems that you might not consider. Yet a good conversation for the development team meanwhile they are having a beer

Idk I might be minority that asks for competitive features... but !!! maybe not ?
The game is mainly oriented for campaign. It would ask some additional time for LavaPotion to make the multiplayer work like a tableboard game with a "Diplomacy or Risk" map allowing macro movement for army. Even if they are mostly interested by this representation of the game, they are mainly focused on "polish" their game. That s why there aren t so many support for multiplayer.
One of the feature that show it s done for campaign is the rally buildings. In term of multiplayer gameplay it s broken but it fit the campaign mode.
In the future and in the case of a SOC2, I would suggest LavaPotion to figure out an alternative rally building which one need payement for select a different castle to teleport stacks.

Come on Lavapotion, we've been waiting for this since 2022!
1) Невосполняемые ресурсы—в игре нет лечения, воскрешения, вампиризма, регенерации и прочего, что могло бы расширять тактические возможности. Одна ошибка и ты ошибся
2) Недоработанная магия—в игре очень мало заклинаний, и большая часть из них бесполезна, зачем тратить 14 энергии на фаерболл или шторм, если это нанесет меньше урона, чем берсерк или местный аналог "руки смерти", убиивающий сразу 3 юнитов. Мне кажется, что список заклинаний надо переработать и расширить, дать каждой школе по дамажному заклинанию, баффу, дебаффу и особому(типа телепорта, призыва, или подобного)
3) Отсутствие уникальных навыков у героев—в 5 героях было здорово, что у каждой фракции был свой навык, через который можно было прокачивать фракцию. Могут ли разрабы сделать для 4 рас(5 с учетом платного длс, которое когда-нибудь выйдет) что-то подобное? Да. Сделают ли? Не факт
4) Недоработанные существа— Почему живая груда костей получает урон от яда простой крысы или жабы? Потому что. Почему нет существ с иммунитетом к магии? Потому что. И так можно про любое отсутствующее свойство расписывать, а этих свойств можно придумать очень много, но факт в том, что существ можно доработать
5) Сырые артефакты—отсутствие сетовых наборов, в анонсированном ДЛС их обещают, и если ванильные артефакты распределят по наборам, то будет вообще прекрасно
Итог: из всех этих минусов строится главный недостаток игры—низкая тактическая ценность. Мне кажется, что сейчас у Сонга она чуть ниже, чем у вторых героев(ведь во вторых героях некоторых проблем сонга нет). Само собой, достоинств игры это не перечеркивает, но лично для меня это стало тем, что не даст полюбить эту игру также сильно, как героев, дисциплы, эадор или эпоху чудес. Надеюсь, что разработчики хотя бы часть этих проблем решат в будущем
Lyktvaan really looks like to his upgrade design, i really feel you need to create more difference in color or in form. For example if it doesn t change his attack animation, you can remove the lantern of the non upgraded one.
