Report a translation problem
It is possible for random events to occur at the start of a round, which can be turned off before starting a game. But those are only things like "Gain/Lose [Insert Resource Here]" or "[Insert Buff Here] Lasts for 1 battle" with some flavor text. Nothing drastically gamechanging.
In co-op, each player controls their own factions. There's also local multiplayer/hotseat.
I think the scope of the events should somehow scale with the size of your economy. Getting a -200 gold event when you make 8000k turn or getting 5 free unupgraded tier-1 units when your main-hero has full stacks of upgraded units feels very underwhelming.
