Oh, you want to move into range? Back through the acid cloud you go!
Not to mention that you can drop two earth blocks per turtle per round and just completely clog up the map faster than the enemy can possibly fight through it.
Highly recommend.
By the end of the campaign my wielder with them was getting
2 order
6 chaos
9 destruction
61 creation
27 arcana
+ an extra 6 of each on the first round
Which is enough to root 3-4 troops in place for three rounds, block everyone with vines, blind the ranged so they couldn't shoot anything (if necessary), and then just coat the entire map with acid clouds doing 188 damage per round. Also you get to make sure you move first in the second round by stacking a few insect swarms if needed. I think one unit total got to make a physical attack on me all of mission 4.
And as a fun trick, acid cloud + repel will move the enemy backwards through the cloud damaging them for each move. And then they need to walk back through the acid...
EDIT: Also Loth gets shut down hard by enemy magic resist - the Rana spells don't really care, if they can't attack you then all the magic resist in the world won't help them.
I like their campaign, I'm struggling with the map where you're supposed to get to the dragon egg of whatever. I guess you're supposed to rush?
I haven't been able to build enough units to get thru the path guards before the AI crushes me yet tho.
