p.s. I'm trying to be entirely positive here.
Would be a bit sad to "not see" it.
(and it sure was promised before)
They said campaigns are too costly to make, but I think people would be just happy with scenarios that progressively follow a storyline.
They don't have to make the cinematics and all that extra jazz.
Sorry for doubting you, I just seen too many developers running away and burying promising things in the dust.
No wonder when "tale campaigns dlcs" brought so much negativity. Same people who complained about campaign dlcs that"nobody wants" now complain about new faction dlc as well btw.
Rise eternal of course is announced on steam, people have it in the wish list, I don't think developers can take that back, they have to make do eventually, but the game is so small they can go under radar postponing it "indefinitely" probably.
I would personally like to see Rise eternal to be done and released between now and Roots faction, if sales do well maybe they can mix and rotate old and new road map. I don't have my hopes high tho.
p.s. And sorry for writing too many messages.
p.p.s. I think lore based events on maps are sure less costly in terms of production value, but I may be wrong.
If they don't want to put the work in then we are not obligated to blindly support them.
So they dropped campaigns and gave you faction. And you are whining about this too.
So you can forgive me for being a little bit disappointed.
