How does Rally Point works?

I've build one in my town, can't seem to be able to recruit troops from other towns.
I've built a Rally point in the other towns, thinking it needs the building also.
Nothing.

I had the same problem. Finally discovered almost by accident, that you need to move your wielder "onto" rally point tower. Then, you'll be able to recruit any troops that every castle you own makes (IF there are some available).

Hmm, one thing that is a bit bothersome is that you can't move units that you recruited and put in defense of another town so I guess only ever recruit troops for defense if you're expecting immediate attack or for creatures you don't care about in your armies.

There should really be a tutorial popup when building the rally point for the first time. I remember it confused the hell out of me the first time as well.

The castle UI is really wonky. First, they removed the separate city screen so it's easier to use and access/see buildings without going into another screen. THEN, for some crazy reason, they made it so you HAVE to go into a separate screen anyway. And the rigamaro you have to go through to put a hero on defense is just clunky and silly.
