Multiplayer battle spectating feature/option
First off - great game - as a HoMM3 OG fan - I appreciate the game's take on it and how it has it's own feel - the art is fantastic.

My friend and I have started to play more of the multiplayer features, and we like the interactive nature of the map and it's features.

We were wondering if it's possible to add a feature that lets you "spectate" a human battle. We are currently allies in this scenario, but I cannot see the fight he is in, and I am in a waiting period for what can be up to 10 minutes. While it's nice to hear him narrate the fight, it would be great to have the option to spectate the fight.

While I like the fact that you can still see the map while the other human player is battling, it feels like I'm in a bit of a waiting period (not being able to take action or interact with anything while I wait for my friend to finish the fight.

Let me know if this is a known issue or question that others might have - or if there's a feature to turn this on in the settings.

Thanks all!

There's some technical or engine issues about multiple battlefields, hopefully in the future at least spectating but how do you talk while playing? Discord probably.

I know it's not ideal esp for full released game but we went around it by streaming each other's game with friend so other one can watch when finished with his turn, we called through discord anyway.

It is a technical issue, and one that's totally on our end, we have done some preliminary trials and it would probably take pretty long to fix so that you could get sim battles. Spectating wouldn't take as long though but would still pull our team away from such things as creating more factions. (something that is on the top of the list what people are asking for)

But yea, we get the frustration and it does make multiplayer matches go on for a bit!

Spectating would be nice indeed. If you play with a friend in a team with sim turns off, you still won't see the battles your friend do during their turn. There are workarounds, like using parsec and hosting a hotseat game, but I'd rather have such a feature in the game itself.
