-Make 2 of the Rana Wielders permanently defeatable, just like 2 of the Barya Wielders are.
You will still have to deal with 2 factions, with 4 Towns each, sending in a stacked Wielder every few turns, while you have to share 4 Towns for your own 3 Wielders; but at least it would heavily diminish the constant beacon capping from the Rana, which is incredibly hard to deal with, while fighting them back at teh same time.
I mainly (okay, almost entirely) used legionary skeletons and banes. I used a lot of aggression and the 8 cost one, plus multi-ranged attack+all army damage bonus to deliver the damage with banes, while lines of guarding legionaries protected them. Towards the end, I used the skeleton spawners to generate lots of mana: don't actually send the skeletons in, they will just be free momentum for your foes.
I'm a bit angry that you can up screw your entire campaign if you built up your characters wrong over the earlier missions.
Do you know wich update you played on? It would help us a lot if we knew this!
Some folks feel like game is a steam roll (even on max difficulty)
While other folks somehow think easy is way too hard
I play on worthy difficulty, I managed to finish a 8 player ffa map on worthy last week and played the whole campaign on worthy so I'm quite familiar with the game but like OP says, this is F U difficulty.
What is wrong is that I can never manage to kill one of main hero's opponents, even if I turtle up, wait for 9 slots on my main hero, get +3 on all my units and max stacks.
The army composition + artefacts on the other races are way too strong : How the hell do you down a full dragon army that has super high initiative army with undead...
At the same time the other faction is so maxed out on magic that he breaks your army in half without you having started to fight.
So yeah, I don't have the -75% magic dmg skill which would help, but I really don't want to replay the whole campaign.
Even if you try to run, the opponent always goes further than you, so outrunning doesn't work (and outrunning for what use, you can't get 7 beacons without killing them).
Overall undead feels pretty weak compared to other races and especially in this mission.
I am playing on 'Fair'.
As I stated above, I feel like 'Fair' was a bit easy, and then it fell off a cliff on the mission this thread is about.
Also: Thank you so much for replying in here, it really does mean a lot to have the developer pop in and acknowledge the issue's some of us have been having.
Well that does sound like we need to calm things down a bit, thank you so much for getting back to us!!
