Horribly bad graphics - Grauenhaft schlechte Grafik

Bringing out such creepy pixel graphics for 33 euros in 2024... Really now???
Ubisoft was able to do this much better with Might & Magic 10 years ago (in words ten). Even a C64 could do it and an Amiga was much better than this pixel salad. I'm annoyed by games like this because a) current technology and graphics cards are not utilised in any way and b) the developers save a lot of development time, but don't pass this on in proportion to the cost.

Das konnte Ubisoft mit Might & Magic vor 10 Jahren (in Worten zehn) schon deutlich besser. Selbst ein C64 konnte das schon und ein Amiga deutlich besser als dieser Pixelsalat. Ich ärgere mich über solche Spiele, weil hier a) aktuelle Technik und Grafikkarten in keinster Weise genutzt werden und b) die Entwickler sehr viel Entwicklungszeit einsparen, aber Kostenmäßig dass nicht im Verhältnis weitergeben.

I bought it cuz of HoMMIII too. There are obviously going to be quality comparisons. Especially since this is 25 years later.

I had played Hero's Hour before as well, but only really in multiplayer.

i didn't know about hero's hour! lately i've been looking at gloomhaven, and things like banner saga, gord, and king of dragon pass! for the "adventure and tales" itch

what about you? anything else that comes to mind? steam does such a poor job of recommending games that are alike! i find alike games way faster on all kinds of websites than on steam recommendation.... and don't even get me started on the "discovery" queue... it's f*kn horrendeous

Calling the art great and the music OK was a critique. The topic is not. It is questions about stuff I will probably figure out with more playtime, but for now don't know the answers to.
