Is it possible to single-click instead of double-click on everything?

I am using Mac, why do I have to double click everything? On the main menu, option settings, every thing is double click...I was clicking the menu for a moment I thought the game was hanging

It might be that Logi Options+ can have the same impact that Steermouse has. Quintus Chen who posted two months ago seemed to have the double-clicking issue dissapear by uninstalling Steermouse.

Maybe you can temporarily deactivate your Logi Options+ settings, launch the game, and see if the issue still persists? Reinstalling the game itself is also worth trying. Please let us know if it gets resolved for you. Also it would be interesting to know if you find a way to consistently get the problem to appear vs dissapear.

Thank you for your post. As I also responded to JZ, It may be reasonable to suspect Logi Options+ to be involved with the issue, so if you can try running the game without Logi Options+ active, or experiment with the settings there, the double-click issue might dissapear. Though this is just a wild guess. I'm most curious to hear if something works for you :)

I have the same issue. However, it started only after I restarted the game second time. The first time I played normally. Playing on an M1. Very strange. I have a Logitech mouse but no extra programms installed. Any ideas how to fix it?

I reinstalled the game and it kind of "fixed" it. :<

Thank you! I found another way too: closing and opening the laptop… that fixes it, for real. I’m truly perplexed.

I have the same issue (Mac M1). On my Mac, Xcode was launched in background. Reading your answers, i had an intuition : switch to XCode, quit Xcode, return to SOC : the double-click problem is gone ! (dont know why...)

Oooh never related this to Xcode. I have Xcode running all the time too. Not sure why they are related...

Sometimes bugs and fixes seem completely unrelated.

My best anectode is with Third age mod for medieval 2 total war.

When starting the battle, game crashed.

Fix? Turning off summer time in windows.

To this day, I still wonder why people buy Mac.

So, I have just experienced the same issue. Have an Intel-based Mac with Logitech BT mouse (no Logi Options) and latest Sequoia version. It appeared from nowhere and I had to restart my Mac and load SoC again to see this issue has disappeared.

A little late here, but still wanted to share my experience. I had the same issue and turns out it was caused by BetterTouchTool. By quitting it the game works as expected.

it's amazing how i seem to hit every possible reason for this issue to pop up. i have all of this stuff installed, and more, and quitting, or even uninstalling it just to play a game doesn't sound great

game must be doing something unusual with input polling, because i haven't seen this kind of issue before

macs are great for multimedia and software development. still can't be beat if this is something you're doing

I use to have the older Macs back in the day. I was born in 1980 and my family got all Macs. It was a challenge trying to play games with my friends who had the older Pc's. They would make fun of me for having a Mac. Fast forward to today I've already built 4 or 5 Pc's. Mac is good for multimedia and graphic design mostly. One advantage of Mac back then was that it was hard for viruses to get on your computer.
