More factions?

Really debating on getting this but 4 factions seems a bit on the small side compared to homm.

If I knew for sure that there would be more factions later on I would buy it in a heart beat.

I would wait if I were you. 4 factions is not even remotely enough, especially when they are not all that unique.

There was artwork a while ago that showed a viking/snow faction with giants and whatnot. I think they said they were going to add it, but only after they got the current factions balanced, have campaigns, and the game is ready to leave Early Access. They may end up being a DLC.

At this I am almost 100% confident we will get more factions after release (as DLC or additional content) as there were multiple topics with initial 4 more factions to be added later on.

Would love to see more as well as we absolutely need Viking faction.

I don't know? Right now it isn't the top priority, with balancing the game, bettering AI, releasing two new campaigns and fixing bugs, but I do believe SoC team have a long term vision for this game.

Al the good things take time, also keep in mind Lavapoiton still develop the game as it not yet finished. I think it will worth the wait in the end.

Opted for hero hour instead, the factions are really diverse and there are a lot of them. The game isn’t perfect I just wish this game and hero’s hour would have a baby

Thank you so much for the info, Der Neue Gott! Love the Vanir/Roots/Viking vibe alot and will buy it as DLC as well. The priority is on the core game/AI/balance for now which is great, looking forward to more content, absolutely adore this game!

The devs want to add more factions, but they are very time-consuming to produce. Therefore it's unkown whether it fits in the Early Access period. So, in that regard nothing has changed really.
