Watching Battles

Do the developers intend to add the ability for players to watch battles of other players?

COOP mode battle viewer

So playing COOP with my mate but it just sits me outside the map whilst he does battles. Will there be an opportunity to watch these battles in the future?

If not, none of my mates will be getting this. Sitting at your computer, watching a grey screen while it's someone else's turn, is just so 1990s. And SO borring.

this is a way to circumvent the issue while there is no option in game, but having the option in game to spectate an ally battle during his turn would be way less ressource intensive, and far more convinient (i know in my case i play with my brother and he has a potato computer that barely make the game run, asking him to open discord and watch a stream there would just make it crash)

Thank you for the suggestion GM, but, most my friends don't have discord. Even if they did, they are not buying a game, in a year 2022, that does not have these basic coding. Too many other games we can play that we don't need to watch TV/steams while friends are taking their turns.

We play games like Humankind, that actually let you keep doing your turn even if a human is currently in a battle. It's great.

If you're using discord and have a second monitor, you can stream the game to each other for exactly such an occasion. But yes watching co-op battles is a must. I imagine when actual team options are added it'll be there.

What about multiplayer/coop battles?
Can you reinforce your buddies in the same battle so you fight 2v1 or even bigger battles?

From what I heard, I think the release of sim turns said this is the case 'for now', I don't think they've finished the feature and they're looking to put the extra work in to make it better. I can't quite remember the exact place this was said but I'm hoping the situation improves too!

Even in coop, when your friend get's into a battle, you can't move until they are finished.

I'm still waiting for this feature. Me and my friend tried playing together but the moment we found out that when you are fighting the other guy just has to sit there and wait we stopped.
