Tenn's inability to get out of his fantasy world makes him similar to Sarah, although I'd still say he does have some comprehension of the severity of the apocalypse. The trouble is that he can't let go of the past, so he ends up making stupid decisions.

I was so pissed that he got Mitch killed.

Just to add, there were some characters I would've liked to have known more, rather than having them die so soon. This season had a tendency of doing this way too often.
