Stuck at loading screen

I just got this game about 20 mins ago and when I try to load it, it just freezes at the loading screen. The game launches but gets stuck. The loading symbol isn't moving either. pls help

I had a headache because of the same problem.
It works well after setting the compatibility to Windows 8.

In the steam library local file, click Properties.
compatibility of exe. files
Check out Windows 8.

I got the same help from someone.
But this time, it faces another problem.
I'm in a position to restart the game because the Steam Save file was nowhere to be found... Despair...

i'll add some
in the steam library local file, right click twd final season -> properties -> Local File -> browse -> right click walking dead4.exe -> properties -> compatibility -> mark the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" check button -> run the .exe

I also could not start the game - setting the Windows 8 compatibility mode for the "WalkingDead4.exe" worked fine. Now I can play the game and did not return it. Thank you so much !

i had the same problem and i went into local files and opened my game from there. it works for me now.

For me as well.

Strangely, I got the first 3 seasons to work out of the box on the first run, but somehow this last season wouldn't work on Win 10 without manually setting the compatibility.

Search for *controlled folder access* on windows search bar and click *Allowed an app through controlled folder access* and just agree after that, click *add an allowed app* > browse all apps > steam library (depends on which Local Disk you placed it) > Steam apps > common > The Walking Dead file itself > double click on the application named WDC. Don't forget to restart the game for changes to apply.
