Why does game keep crashing ?

This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up I been waiting for Ages.... Why the ♥♥♥♥ did Skybound not do any bug tests this is dumb as ♥♥♥♥.

final episode crashes inside the cave and stutters frequently. this is the first time I've seen this happen in any TTG game

Few things you could try to get past the log crash: turn off steam cloud sync, play it in compatibility mode (windows 8) and verify files. I did all of them and I'm not sure which one solved the issue though but somehow one (or all of them) stopped it crashing when Clem jumps the log.

I tried everything I could find from the forum and turned all graphics settings "off" or "low" and they did not work. Eventually I got past the log after mindless launching the game after each crash. Took me around 8 tries but I read someone got it in 5.

Find your TWD folder: ...\Steam\steamapps\common\The Walking Dead The Final Season
Right click to WalkingDead4.exe and click on properties
Open Compatibility tab
Check Run As Administrator

I've crashed at the same place, but was able to restart from there once I launched the game again. Sorry, I can't help you with this.

FIXED!! Nothing from the above suggestions worked out for me but I updated NVIDIA drivers and it stopped crashing!!

That happened to me last night when the episode first released, same spot too. I tried it twice without success, figured it was a bug that they might work out soon and went to bed. Today I had no issues getting past it though, not sure what changed between last night and earlier today.

I finally managed to get through the sequence and eventually finished the series. If it can be of any help here's what I did. Just so you know, checking for the latest updates, verifying cache and what not were the first things I tried. After reading about a previous bug caused by having a controller triggering similar crashes, I basically had the idea to load the game with every USB devices unplugged (yeah including keyboard and mouse)... The beginning of the scene went smooth, Clem jumped, the tree sank away and that was it (for me). I just plugged'em devices back on and continued. I hope you guys get lucky too !

Running as administrator apparently fixed the problem. Thank you guys!!!!!

I found that underclocking my gpu by a little helped. This also helped with my problem in unreal engine.
