Lilly deserves to die and if you don't kill her she will continue to hurt and kill people
Its an easy choice to make

People like Lilly don't deserve to be alive anymore. All she does is manipulate and destroy lives. In hindsight Lee should have killed her in season 1 and since Lee was unable to do that it is now Clem and AJ's responsibility to ensure that Lilly cannot pollute anymore societies with her garbage.

Sure AJ is young and we want to protect him from those experiences but lets be real here. You cannot prevent kids from becoming hard if you want them to live in this universe. This has been shown multiple times throughout the series. Duck..dead. Sarah...dead. Mariana....dead. James talks a good talk but when reality happens its all talk.

Clem has killed people and kills people in episode 3 and its no big deal. Because even though Clem kills people its for the good of everyone.

I just wanted to post my thoughts because I saw that the stats for the Kill Lilly scene were almost 50/50

i told AJ to kill, her...... why ?
because Lilly would always be a threat....and for ♥♥♥♥ sake....she murdered Carley !!!!! i really liked Carley :/
I did not played "a new frontier", just watched a Lets Play, until the point where Clementine shot a trade cheater in the head and became a murderer for no reason.
At this point i thought: " no....just no..... Lee would be so damn disappointed at you !!! you stupid little xxxxx !!!
no...there was no way i could be able to accept that kind of "clementine"
so....Season 3 does´nt exist for myself.....

nonetheless, i agree, Lilly deserved to die !

her community would probably kill her for coming back empty handed anyhow.

I wanted to forgive and spare her but then she started to beg for her life.
I hate bullies that flip as soon as they are no longer in control.
You don't get to beg for your life when you have been so vicious without a second thought.

Does it even matter at this point? The game series is over, and it’s not like we’ll ever get to see her continue to hurt and kill more people. The options to kill or let her live are now kind of pointless after seeing how little of an impact it made on episode 4. Maybe if they actually gave us a reason to doubt the decision of letting her live I’d agree with you, but they didn’t. It hardly changes anything no matter what you choose.

the point of making decisions in Telltale games were always about making a decisions.... The result was always secondary. Its all about finding out about yourself and questioning your decisions a few moments later :)

It’s kind of hard to question your decisions a moment later in this case then, because the outcome is practically the same whether you decide to kill her or not. This series has always been about “choices matter” and in this case, they really don’t. At least for this certain scenario. I was hoping they’d do something similar to Batman: The Enemy Within, where the final episode would be completely different depending on what you chose to do at the end of the previous episode. That way, killing Lilly or letting her live would leave a bigger impact on the story.

This statement is often misunderstood.
Its not about changing the Ending.
its about changing the Path you go and the characters / dialogues you get.

If you´ld be able to change the Ending and/or impactive Plot-Points / Plot-twists, the Storytelling would fail at all.
This is how Story Scripts work.... you cant change them without destroying the Plot.
The Thing is..... you only get trough the Story-telling mechanics by playing it twice.... until you dont do this...the illusion is good ;)

A good example would be if you chose to let her live, she’d end up killing a few of your friends, and you’d have one final fight with her and it would determine whether or not you get a good or bad ending. The same would go if you kill her.

imagine not only the effort, but also the Game (file) size for every eventuality, by any decisions you made..... maybe in 15-20 years.....
but the point stays...... it destroys the Plot.

I actually was one of the people who enjoyed this episode, and I do not think it deserves the hate it's getting. I'm not trying to argue about the problems with this game, I'm more so just trying to argue the fact that it pretty much ends the same whether you kill Lilly or not, so there's no reason to try to tell people what the better choice is, because they both pretty much end up the same.

i totaly understood, what you mean, but this is not what telltale games ever were about.
you always had a straight storyline told....this is what makes that stories so good.

We always dream about games where our decisions matter alot.....but honestly.... i doubt that would be a great experience.... maybe in a open world game or something, but not in a story based game.
imo :)

This trader sold her bad bullets that didn't fire and would've gotten her killed if she was alone. When she returns to him, he's like "meh, whatever, get lost". And when she shows him that bullets indeed don't fire, he attacks her and Javi with a knife. I'd say it's more than enough a reason to kill this piece of sh*t. Not to mention that Clem didn't want to kill him, she was shocked when the shot occured.
Also, while Lee didn't enjoy killing in general, he had no qualms with doing it to protect Clem.

So you don't accept Clem who, after being dumped by some group and having AJ taken from her by them, helps Javi and his family on numerous occasions for pretty much no reason other than kindness?
