because Lilly would always be a threat....and for ♥♥♥♥ sake....she murdered Carley !!!!! i really liked Carley :/
I did not played "a new frontier", just watched a Lets Play, until the point where Clementine shot a trade cheater in the head and became a murderer for no reason.
At this point i thought: " no....just no..... Lee would be so damn disappointed at you !!! you stupid little xxxxx !!!
no...there was no way i could be able to accept that kind of "clementine"
so....Season 3 does´nt exist for myself.....
nonetheless, i agree, Lilly deserved to die !
I hate bullies that flip as soon as they are no longer in control.
You don't get to beg for your life when you have been so vicious without a second thought.
the point of making decisions in Telltale games were always about making a decisions.... The result was always secondary. Its all about finding out about yourself and questioning your decisions a few moments later :)
It’s kind of hard to question your decisions a moment later in this case then, because the outcome is practically the same whether you decide to kill her or not. This series has always been about “choices matter” and in this case, they really don’t. At least for this certain scenario. I was hoping they’d do something similar to Batman: The Enemy Within, where the final episode would be completely different depending on what you chose to do at the end of the previous episode. That way, killing Lilly or letting her live would leave a bigger impact on the story.
This statement is often misunderstood.
Its not about changing the Ending.
its about changing the Path you go and the characters / dialogues you get.
If you´ld be able to change the Ending and/or impactive Plot-Points / Plot-twists, the Storytelling would fail at all.
This is how Story Scripts work.... you cant change them without destroying the Plot.
The Thing is..... you only get trough the Story-telling mechanics by playing it twice.... until you dont do this...the illusion is good ;)
imagine not only the effort, but also the Game (file) size for every eventuality, by any decisions you made..... maybe in 15-20 years.....
but the point stays...... it destroys the Plot.
I actually was one of the people who enjoyed this episode, and I do not think it deserves the hate it's getting. I'm not trying to argue about the problems with this game, I'm more so just trying to argue the fact that it pretty much ends the same whether you kill Lilly or not, so there's no reason to try to tell people what the better choice is, because they both pretty much end up the same.
you always had a straight storyline told....this is what makes that stories so good.
We always dream about games where our decisions matter alot.....but honestly.... i doubt that would be a great experience.... maybe in a open world game or something, but not in a story based game.
imo :)
Also, while Lee didn't enjoy killing in general, he had no qualms with doing it to protect Clem.
So you don't accept Clem who, after being dumped by some group and having AJ taken from her by them, helps Javi and his family on numerous occasions for pretty much no reason other than kindness?
