"Save last bullet for yourself" what does it mean?
So I got Marlon killed in Ep 1 for something that made AJ ruthless in the end. It was mentioned twice (at least) throughout the episode that I taught him to save last bullet for himself. This now sounds both ways to me, and I don't really like the form of this statement, nor can I understand its idea anymore.

Ep 1 made me feel so ♥♥♥♥ed up, to be honest, and I know some of my decisions weren't quite pleasing for people around me, leading to this circumstance (Brody's dead too).

Also, I didn't have a chance to notice Mitch. Hah

Save last bullet for yourself just means "make sure you always have one bullet left, so you can shoot yourself"

Is it that clear to understand for kids? Okay, why would you ever teach kids this?

So you're saying instead let themselves be torn limb from limb by the Walking Dead?

Does that dialogue option even matter? Clem would never advise AJ to commit suicide but knowing this series it probably doesn't mean much.

Whether it matters or not is another subject, Clem is not advising he commit suicide, she's advising him to think about the possibility of being in a scenario where there is no way out, would you rather a slow death being torn and eaten, or a quick end to save yourself the suffering.

I questioned whether it mattered in the actual events of the game which i now know the answer to it's no, not really. And yeah i would rather die quick then die slowly but Lee asked Clem to shoot him (in my end), and Clem asks AJ to shoot her (in my end) later to axe her, not to take the gun and commit suicide. So it really would seem selfish of Clem to ask of a little kid to save the last bullet for himself and commit suicide when that last bullet might end up saving him or someone else.
