[spoiler] Who chose to attack Abel?
I'm really 50/50 on this choice. In the end I decided not to attack him and to tell AJ to lower the gun, but I see that 76% of players attacked Abel. I thought that it wasn't worth risking Clem or AJ's life just for some extra food (Clem and Violet only take two bags anyway, no matter what you choose). I also feel like it was the right thing to do. But AJ brings up the point later on that what Clem did was "Soft", which is a valid point. Abel's group might take advantage of Clem's group knowing that they don't put up much of a fight. On the other hand, Abel is probably going to appear again later in the series, and at least he might not be so harsh on us knowing that we let him get away with the food. (Hopefully he doesn't kill anyone though, lol) :steamsad:

I kind of regret the choice I made but I also think it was the right choice to make. What are your thoughts on this?

For me attacking Abel was a no-brainer. I mean, come on, some d*ckhead appears outta nowhere, pulls out gun on Clem and tries to take her supplies? No way in hell this should be allowed to happen. And yes, if you give up, he'll remember that you're easy pickings and probably come back for more later. While if he's attacked, he is grabbed and pulled by walkers, so there's very high chance he gets bitten. I only wish there was an option to kill him right there, just to be sure.

@Dethlane Valid point. That's exactly what I was thinking, too. My Clem was Righteous from the story-builder though, and by that definition I think what Clem did was right. I think if I got Brutal Clem I probably would've attacked him.

Another thing, Clem explains to AJ when they get back that you need to choose when the right time is to fight, and that it wasn't the right time. Besides, he wasn't attacking us or anything, just wanted some of the food we found (since technically it isn't ours, we just found it first).

I did the opposite of what you did and regretted my choice. I attacked Abel, purely because I thought he would take ALL the food. But now seeing how they end up getting food anyway by letting him go, I'm like... whoops.

Now I'm regretting also because if he lived, after I attacked him, I feel like he's going to go back to his camp and plot revenge, or I'm going to be guilt tripped throughout the game for my action. I also don't want AJ to be a cold blooded killer by the end of all of this... I want him to be able to know when to make the right call on when to attack and not to. I ended up getting the "Hardened" AJ and I'm not sure how to feel about that... I hope it's not too late to save him... x'D

Personally, as of right now, I believe letting Abel go was the right choice. I don't think Abel even wanted to hurt Clem and AJ and letting him go, you still get plenty of food. Right now, there is no downside to letting him go.... so far...

@Sindy Sugar, that makes a lot of sense! Don't worry, my AJ is also hardened. I really hope Abel doesn't go on to kill one of Clem's group members, though. Guess we'll have to wait and see

he´s obviously a bad guy but, when he said something like " i´ll just take some supplies and then i´ll leave" i let him go. no reason to pull attention of all the undead. i think its was the logic choice. 100% sure we´ll meet him again soon. I´m excited which way it will continue.

I choose to let him have some food... maybe that will help me later.

@mighty I agree man, glad to see I'm not the only one who thought that lol

And since when is robbing "right"? Because that's exactly what that dude was doing. My Clem was loyal and she attacked him, to protect herself and AJ.

He pulled out gun on Clem (threatened her) and tried to take her supplies (to rob her). So Clem protecting herself and AJ is the right thing to do. And yes, Clem and AJ found it first, so it's rightfully theirs. If that guy pretty please asked for food, he could get some. But threatening and robbing? Nah, not gonna slide.

@Dethlane He had a gun pointed at AJ though, rather let him go than risk AJ's life I think. Also, they took the same amount of food with them, whether or not they let Abel go

I didn’t attack him or anything because I thought it would backfire on me but apparently it doesn’t if you push him towards the walkers then I thought, hey, maybe I should have done that. I am not sure if he’ll be back or anything, how are we sure he didn’t die if we pushed him back? Then the decision wouldn’t really matter, hmm...

My logic was that by attacking him someone would end up firing their gun (hit or miss) and attract the walkers that were right outside. For him to take some of the food and for everyone to avoid the walkers seemed like the best option to me. However, I forgot this is a telltale game and such actual logic is useless 90% of the time.

Part of me regrets not attacking him because clearly the game didn't think gunshots were of any risk in that situation. Clem can't even tell AJ that the reason she avoided a fight was to keep the walkers away. This scene was the only real disappointment in episode 1 for me.

I pushed him out the window, but is so obvious that he will come back regardless, my prediction is that if you threw him out, he will lose his arm by a bite.

This is a great point, I actually never thought of that!
